As a means to support artists located throughout Québec and enrich the body of works contained in its collection, Loto-Québec launched its sales exhibits program in 1994. Known today as Repérage, the program tours the areas outside the province’s major urban centres in order to shine the spotlight on talented regional artists. Loto-Québec supports museums and exhibition spaces located in outlying regions by organizing Repérage sales exhibits. The Collection’s curator may choose works exhibited and created by local artists to be submitted for consideration by the Collection’s acquisitions committees. In addition to offering a window of opportunity to these artists, the events encourage other businesses to support local talent.
